What is it?

Are you passionate about sports, recreation, or fitness? Coaching, playing, watching? Maybe you’re not really a “sports person” but you recognize the power of sport as a tool to build relationships, break down barriers, and make disciples. The ReadySetGO Conference is a gathering place for like-minded leaders in the world of sport, play, and fitness. We may use different strategies and methods, but we share the same heart values:

The ReadySetGO Conference is a place to sharpen your tools, learn from others who are experiencing similar challenges and successes as you, and be inspired by realizing you’re not alone. When we take the time to step away from our everyday tasks and responsibilities, God renews our minds, awakens our imagination, and shows us how to use what we already know to more effectively fulfill the Great Commission. What You Need to Know About ReadySetGO

Who is it for?

This gathering is for anyone—church, organization, business, coaches, athletes—who wants to use Sport, Recreation, Play, or Fitness as a vehicle to make disciples who make disciples. People of all abilities and experience levels are welcome!

How will it work?

Several leaders from more than 15 organizations across different cities in North America will be collaborating together to facilitate the conference. Plenary sessions will provide vision-casting and inspiration for everyone present. A large portion of this conference will also take place in “Go Modes,” meaning Go Sport, Go Play, and Go Health and Fitness. Attendees will choose which Go Mode is most relevant to them and then connect with other leaders who understand their context. Breakout sessions will be highly interactive and provide practical equipping from experienced practitioners.

When is it?

October 16-18, 2024 at North Coast Calvary Chapel in Carlsbad, CA

9 a.m - 5:30 p.m each day

General flight parameters: Attendees need to arrive on October 15th (any time). Attendees can depart any time on October 19th (or on October 18th if they can get a flight after 8pm).

There are several hotels nearby the ReadySetGO conference.

For those flying in, San Diego International Airport is the best option. From there you can inexpensively take a train to Carlsbad, which is only a 5 minute walk to recommended hotels.

Recommended Hotels:

• Best Western Carlsbad by the Sea

• Motel 6 Carlsbad Beach

These hotels are all within:

• 5 minute walk to the train station

• 5 minute drive to North Coast Calvary Chapel

• 5 minute walk to local restaurants and stores

• 10 minutes walk to the beach

  • Making disciples in the world of sport, play, and fitness is hard. This conference will encourage you, refresh you, and renew your vision for what God has called you to do. You’ll meet like-minded people who are doing similar work as you and people who are ministering in very different ways than you. This conference also provides an opportunity for blue-sky thinking either by yourself or with your team. We encourage you to bring your team if possible so that you can reflect with each other on how God is speaking to you and leading you.

  • We would love for families to attend the ReadySetGO Conference! In order to make this possible, we will have the possibility of providing childcare for those who sign up in advance. There is an additional cost for childcare that we will communicate with you after you complete your registration form.   • Everyone who comes to the ReadySetGo Conference has something to learn and something to give. 6 months after the conference, you can expect to see the things you have learned and the things you have shared with others begin to bear fruit. This is not just an exchange of information or head knowledge that you forget about a few weeks later. This is a transformational experience for everyone who participates that will set into motion a process of growth and multiplication in your life and in the lives of others. Your participation in this experience will not only impact you and your ministry but the entire sport movement here in North America.

  • The ReadySetGo Conference is a place to connect and discover. You will connect with many like-minded leaders from around the U.S. and Canada, and through these relationships, you will have the opportunity to partner and collaborate with one another. You will become part of a community that supports each other and seeks to stay connected throughout the year. You will also discover new opportunities to stay engaged with NASM such as the Movement Pathway and discipleship cohorts.
